Partnering to Connect in Ontario: Content
Working together to create a more accessible health care system
Bringing virtual care innovation to the health care system requires collaboration. Everyday, we work with our partners so that the people of Ontario can get the care they need when and where they need it most: at home, in their community or in hospital. An independent, not-for-profit organization, OTN is funded by the Government of Ontario. Working with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and our other partners, we’re creating a more accessible and equitable publicly-funded health care system.
Indigenous Services
Virtual care connects First Nations patients across the province with culturally sensitive primary care, specialized care, and urgent care. Access care through video from your home community. Whether you’re living in an on-or off-reserve community, including remote fly-in communities, or in an urban area, you can connect with a doctor or specialist and receive culturally sensitive care through real-time video. OTN partners with Keewaytinook Okimakanak eHealth Telemedicine Services (KOeTS), the Chiefs of Ontario, the Trilateral First Nations Health Senior Officials Committee, and the Metis Nation of Ontario to provide faster, easier access to health care.
Solution Providers and Vendors
Working with partners across the system, we co-design, find, organize, scale and recommend best-in-class innovative virtual care solutions. These collaborations make it easier to deliver more connected care efficiently and effectively, helping to enhance health care delivery in ways that meet the needs of patients and providers alike.
Provincial Corrections Program
Partnering with the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services (MCSCS) and Correctional Services Canada, we provide virtual clinical services to each and every one of the province’s correctional facilities. Our goal is to increase access to clinical services and to optimize transfers of inmates to hospitals or community doctors’ offices.
